Sunshine Camp in Miami

This year’s Sunshine Camp took place in Miami on February 19-22. We welcomed more than 20 participants from Japan, including the students of Chiba Institute of Technology Karate Club and alumni. The trainings were led by Nemoto Keisuke (6th Dan), the six-time All-Japan Champion in Kumite and a JKA HQ Instructor, along with other senior instructors.

This camp is a milestone for us, as four years ago the Chiba Institute of Technology team and alumni were honored guests at the CJKF National Summer Camp. We are delighted to see the development of the club and to be a part of their karate journey. The classes presented a unique opportunity to learn and witness a high level of karate training, where all the participants received personalized advice from the senior instructors. A special highlight of the camp was a male team kata demonstration by the students of the club. The camp was one of the largest karate events in terms of cultural exchange, as the participants had a chance to experience the university team practices and socialize with the Japanese guests outside of training.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the parties involved in organizing and hosting the camp, as well as all the participants who supported this event. Our special love goes to the overseas guests, who brought a little bit of Japan for us to the heart of Miami.

We are looking forward to the future events and hard training together!
