About the event
Join us for the 2025 OJKA Canada Koyo Camp with JKA Headquarters Instructor, Katsutoshi Shiina (8th Dan), from Thursday to Sunday (November 20–23) in Ottawa.
This 4-day intensive training event is our national camp, bringing together practitioners from across Canada for a rare opportunity to train directly under Shiina Sensei, one of the leading instructors at JKA Headquarters in Tokyo.
Three tailored programs will be offered:
Youth Program — A high-intensity course based on elite Japanese university training, designed to challenge and develop young students’ skills and conditioning.
Adult Program — A well-rounded focus on JKA karate foundations, covering kihon, kata, kumite, and personal development.
Instructor Program — Specialized training in teaching methods and advanced concepts, with subsidized participation available for OJKA Canada Affiliate Head Instructors.
The camp features practical training, grading up to 6th Dan, qualification exams up to Instructor B, Judge B and Examiner C Levels.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, this is a unique opportunity to learn directly from JKA Headquarters Instructor and connect with other fellow practitioners across Canada.
